Details
Stage one of the EZ-Twist system. A nano-fiber woven barrier with silver captures dirt, sand, rust and other solid particles before they reach the carbon and membrane stages — which is what lets those later filters run their full life.

When to replace
Change every 6 months. Go sooner if your water is hard or heavily sedimented, or the machine runs all day — a drop in flow is usually the first sign.
